Priceless. In a speech at a Washington DC "Pray Vote Summit" (I kid you not!), gaffe-prone 77-year old Donald Trump called out not-quite-as-gaffe-prone 80-year old Joe Biden by calling him "cognitively-impaired" and saying that "we would be in World War II very quickly if we're going to be relying on this man".
Oops. Well, one of those wars anyway.
UPDATE
Trump is the gift to journalists that keeps on giving. At a campaign speech in New Hampshire (yes, candidates are campaigning for the election to come at the end of 2024, have been for some time in fact), Trump managed to get himself well and truly confused about Hungary and Turkey and all those shitholes over there on the other side of the world.
"Viktor Orbán, did anyone ever hear of him? He is probably one of the strongest leaders anywhere in the world. He is the leader of Turkey". Right.
Orbán, who espouses what he calls an "illiberal" form of government, is the guy who has steadily eroded Hungary's support for anything vaguely progressive: immigration, LGBTQ rights, press freedom, judicial independence, and democracy in general. You can see why Trump might like him.
Doubling down, as he does so well, Trump added that Orbán, or presumably his country, shares a "front" (border?) with Russia. Neither Turkey nor Hungary share a border with Russia. But at this point it hardly matters.
